A complex watershed spanning the Oregon and California border and now the site of the largest dam removal in history, the Klamath River was once the third most productive river for salmon on the West Coast. For decades, Trout Unlimited has worked with tribes, ranchers, landowners, and conservation partners to reconnect the river, restore habitat, fish passage and water quality, and build cooperative water supply solutions for the diverse wildlife and human communities of this unique river system.
